In 2015 we worked on the refurbishment of Blackfriars Bridge, over the Thames in London as part of the Thames Tideway project for Volker Stevin Limited. We removed the balustrade pillars and handrails from a section of the bridge that was being moved. The stairs that lead down to the river bank were moved to allow a new elevator to be added.
Where the historical records are not complete the City of London could not supply the original colour scheme. It was decided to paint in a specific red and white brighter than the original scheme.
