From May 2016 until February 2017 we worked on the magnificent Gunnersbury Park; gardens, Mansion and Orangery. The work included both restoration and replication of heritage ironwork.
In the gardens we refurbished gates, arches and other features. Iron was used to hand forge the intricate details on the gates. Many of the gates’ original features had eroded away, so we replicated the original pattern and created new elements to fill in the gaps.
In the Mansion the main entrance balustrade and the Sky light corridor balustrade were all in need of restoration; as well as restoring the handrails and staircases.
In the Gunnersbury Orangery cast iron guttering was remade by copying the original design.
