The project at Orleans House Gallery, London took place July 2018. The whole museum had been renovated by Quinn London. Newton Forge were brought in to produce new entrance handrails. It is easily visible how much effort our blacksmiths put into each job, as for a small renovation it still needs attention to detail. Fabricating the railings in mild steel, cut materials, formed the rails. To make the new handrails more traditional detailed curls were forged into the handrails. The joints were welded, grinded back and sanded, finishing with primer and a top coat. Lastly the railings were installed onto site, transporting from the workshop, with pre-drilled holes.
